tiny flowers

It’s friday. The kids have finally stopped singing that Rebecca Black song on fridays.  I know floral jeans have been all over the blogosphere lately, my favorites here, there, here and there.  I’ve had these Forever 21 jeans sitting in my closet since last september and have only worn them once.  No better time than now to pull them out for the second time.  My students knew right away where I found these jeans.  One teenager even told me that she has the same pants.  Great.  I dress like a teenager.  A big teenager that can confiscate your hats and cell phones.  I really tall teenager who forces you to write TEA paragraphs about why income is the greatest indicator obesity in the US and then imitates your groaning.  Happy friday, kids!

outfit stealing

I was browsing my usual blogs yesterday and came across this post from Calivintage (who got it from this post by, Milk Teeths).  I immediately pinned this look to my pinterest board for “looks I love”.  I already have high waisted blue pants!  So I stole the outfit idea and recreated it with what I already had in my closet.

By the way, these H&M Divided pants are the most comfortable pants ever.  It’s like wearing pajamas to work!  It was lunchtime, and I treated myself to a coffee ice cream bar.

A couple nights ago I painted sock monkey faces onto my nails.  Cute right?

geographer

B and I went to see one of my favorite local bands last Saturday, Geographer.  They were amazing, of course.  Check them out here.  They are amazeballs.  Seriously.  And watch this video below.  You will fall in love, I guarantee it.

I was having a wardrobe emergency trying to get ready for this show.  I swear, even with my exploding closet, I had nothing to wear.  So I busted out the fail safe backups: stripes, red lips and black skinny pants.  B took my photos, and we ran to the bus stop.  We missed the bus by half a block.  fail.  If there is one thing I learned growing up in San Francisco is never run for the bus.  You will almost always miss it, you’ll be even angrier for running late, you will end up a sweaty mess and you’ll look like that guy running for the bus and missing it.  Never again, I should have known better as a native San Franciscan.

Have I mentioned how much I love Geographer yet?  Check this one out too, you will pee your pants from having your mind blown.

quick friday

Today pulled a fast one.  Assembly days tend to make everything go much faster.  Classes are slightly shorter, the school day is broken up with a super awesome cultural show right before lunch time, and the kids are pumped for the weekend.  Today was the Polynesian Club’s chance to perform.  We saw hula dances and the boys did a haka. I just watched and clapped.  =)
